Schlosshotel - Zermatt

Is it a hit or a miss? Here's my take

I loved the unbeatable location just minutes from the train station, and the fine Matterhorn view from my room added a magical touch. Breakfast was diverse and delicious.

The hotel lacks an on-site restaurant for dinner, which can limit dining options. Some noise issues from other rooms affected my comfort at night.

I liked everything from the moment we walked in the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was gorgeous, loved the reading lights on each side of the bed. The breakfast was delicious and such a lovely room to be eating in. We are so glad we added on another night at this hotel.

Breakfast was really good. Location is not so easy to find, but is very nice. Really two steps from station. Stuff was friendly. Lobby bar is very neat.

When asked for a spare pillow just answered that they are fully booked and no additional pillows available. Not even a try. Be aware that 0.33 bottle of water on the night table (with no signs) is 3 Fr. Hotel once might have been good 4*, but now is declining. Stuffed with 1980th equipment, cracked tiles in the bathroom and old dusty cupboards in the rooms. Definitely do not recommend. Choose something else for this price.

Comfortable bed and a decent bath. Very personal and amiable staff. Great room, especially for single occupation. Quality breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for the helpful staff.

Loved the spacious Luxury Suite with a huge bathroom and fine mountain views. Breakfast was delicious and had great variety. Always smiling and helpful. The spa facilities were great and perfect after a day of hiking. Highly recommend!

The staff at the hotel were very nice and very attentive.

Unfortunately, the room felt outdated and a bit cramped for what we paid. We had trouble with the heating system. It was far too hot and we had to keep the door open to cool down. I found the breakfast selection lacking in healthy options, disappointing given the hotel's health focus.

Staff quickly resolved my heating issue.

The staff (particularly the recepcioinist) is amazing! Very helpful, and supportive. Very ineresting building, 3 minutes walking from the Trainstation. Breakfast was nice for swiss standards

We had an amazing stay, especially loved the spa and breakfast selection, but our room felt a bit smaller than the photos suggested. Definitely would come back!

Location right by town centre, good restaurants and ski rental shops, and Shops, Restaurants, Gonergrat Bahn, skischool dropoff and pickup, and Zermatt-Tasche Bahnhof. Very clean pool area, extensive breakfast with bacon and sausage, for instance.
